Road to Perth is designed to introduce more females to cricket by transferring their existing hockey skills and friendships to a new sport. In addition, the introduction to cricket is structured around a journey of a lifetime which challenges the girls to Discover their best. This will have a positive impact to life on and off the field, as well as regional participation numbers.
The players benefit from:
– Top cricket trainers
– Female role models
– FUNdamentals from other sports (running, injury prevention, etc.)
– New sporting pathways.
The journey begins with transferring existing skills to the game, learning to play, playing to compete and eventually playing to win in the national women’s T20 festival.
